The straight Sealcon strain relief cord grips have a molded groove for O-Rings, but the snap elbows and some of the conduit fittings do not have a recess for an O-Ring. In these cases, a seal ring is the preferred choice, unless a recess can be beveled to fit an O-Ring. When a NEMA 4x or 6 (European IP 68 - submersible) rating is necessary when mounting a cord grip to a control panel, use a Seal Ring and secure with a locking nut.
