Sealcon 1/2" NPT Nickel Plated Brass Multi-hole Cord Grips, Cable Glands and Strain Relief Fittings are used to connect cable or wire to different applications and are found in many industries. This strain relief provides a NEMA 4x (IP 65) rating. The cable cannot be less than 80% of the diameter of the hole to achieve that rating. The difference in diameter between the cable and the hole also cannot be more than .04" (1 mm). To determine if the fitting meets the NEMA 6 (IP 68) submersible rating, testing may be required. The ACME thread on the CD16N3BR dome top is self locking, with the overlapping splines creating an even seal. This ensures that the form seal does not come out of the fitting. It also gives pull-out protection for your cable so it causes no damage.
