Sealcon PG 16 Nickel Plated Brass Multi-hole cable glands, sometimes called cord grips or strain relief fittings, are used in many industries to attach cable to different applications. It is possible for this fitting to obtain the NEMA 4x (IP 65) rating. The cable cannot be less than 80% of the diameter of the hole in order to meet this rating. The difference between the cable's diameter and the hole's diameter also cannot be more than .04" (1 mm). Testing may be needed to confirm if the NEMA 6 (IP 68) submersible rating is achievable. The ACME thread on the CD16A5BR dome top is self locking, with the overlapping splines applying an even seal. This keeps the form seal from being pulled out of the fitting & gives your cable pull-out protection so no damage is caused.
