Sealcon 3/8" NPT Nickel Plated Brass Multi-hole Strain Relief Fittings, also referred to as Cable Glands or Cord Grips, are used in numerous industries, when needing to attach wire or cable to different applications. This cable gland provides a NEMA 4x (IP 65) rating. To achieve this rating, the cable cannot be less than 80% of the diameter of the hole. The difference between the diameter of the cable and the diameter of the hole also cannot be more than .04" (1 mm). The NEMA 6 (IP 68) submersible rating is obtainable, provided there is an ideal fit. The ACME thread on the CD09N8BR dome top is self locking, so the overlapping splines create an even seal and ensuring that form seal does not come out of the fitting. This provides pull-out protection for your cable so it is not damaged.
