The line of Hirschmann Form A GDM and GAN series DIN 43650 Form A connectors has recently expanded. This new generation of solenoid valve connectors includes design enhancements to provide better performance and easier operation. The selection of GDM series hardwired connectors available online comes in 2 + ground, with M16 or M20 cable entries. M16 accepts 4.5 to 10 mm O.D. cable, while the M20 accommodates 4.5 to 11 mm. The GAN series features 2M, 5M or 10M cable lengths, in 3 + ground or 2 + 2 ground, with or without a circuit. Cable jacket material is available in black or gray PVC or PUR. Circuit options for both series include LED indicators, diodes, or MOV suppression, in 24V, 120V, or 250V.

The new generation GDM series connectors have updated housings, with curved edges and a dome top for greater stability. The housings also have grips on the sides to provide better handling. The contact bearer now also has curved edges, a re-designed cross-beam, and an updated screw assembly to better withstand shock and vibration. All of the new generation GDM valve connectors have been VDE approved, while the black UL 94 V-0 housings with strain relief also carry UL 2238 approval. They also have an IP 65/67 protection rating against dust and water exposure.

The GAN series updates mainly affect the circuited molded DIN connectors. Updates include revamped elements for better circuit protection, including new circuit boards and contact pins, as well as a slight change in housing color. The result provides a better fit and greater functionality. Like the GDM series, they are all VDE approved, with certain connectors also featuring UL 2238 approval.

Stock is currently available on a selection of GDM circuited hardwired DIN connectors, as well as GAN molded solenoid valve connectors, with more varieties being added soon to our online store. The new GDM series is now being sold alongside the older generation of DIN 43650 connectors, however the older generation is intended to eventually transition to the new generation. All of these new DIN 43650 valve connectors include a TPU or NBR profile gasket and center screw. These solenoid valve connectors prove useful in a number of different areas, including temperature sensors, flow monitors, and pressure transducers.
