Brand new from Mencom are MIL-SPEC 5015 equivalent circular connectors. MIL-SPEC 5015 refers to the military standards set for certain electrical connectors, which correlate to their ease of use and durability. They can also be referred to as MIL-STD, MIL-EQUIV, or MIL-EQUAL. This Mencom series takes those standards and makes them ideal for connectors in the industrial environment. They can also be put to use in marine, automotive, and aerospace applications. They have a single keyway, and a wide operating temperature range of -40 C to 105 C (-40 F to 221 F). They feature a rating of IP 67, for protection from dust and temporary immersion in water.

Mencom MIL-SPEC 5015 connectors are designed for plug and play capability, including pre-wired receptacles & over-molded cordsets. Field wireable connectors are also available that allow the user to do their own soldering. This MIL-SPEC series is available in a variety of sizes, including 10SL, 14S, 16S, & 18, which are compatible with existing 5015 style connectors. 10SL features 2 or 3 pin inserts, 14S has 2-7 pin inserts, 16S includes 2, 3, 5, or 7 pin inserts, and size 18 features 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10 pin inserts. With this arrangement, the same size connector can come in a variety of configurations. Cordsets are available in several standard lengths, ranging from 1 to 15 meters, while receptacles with leads are a standard 12 inches. Cables for the cordsets can be yellow or black PVC, PUR, or TPE. There are currently no right angle versions of these connectors.
