The 6314125K16 is designed to provide the utmost safety, eliminating the chance of arc flash. The durable construction is designed to last without constantly having to replace parts. The DSN series features a watertight and lightweight design that won't take up a lot of space. This makes it perfect for wet or washdown applications in industrial environments. It also features plug and play capability for a quick, easy disconnect.
This makes for more efficient operation and creates less downtime. The 63-14125-K16 replaces the 63-14165, the main difference being that the contacts been rekeyed from position 16 to position 12, changing their orientation. The housing also has a color coded yellow gasket and label to easily identify the voltage. This new model is not compatible with the older position 16 male inlet.
Safety shutter: Closes over contacts before plug is taken out to prevent contact with active components. Shutter is opened when the compatible plug is inserted
Spring loaded contacts: Ensures that the connection has the correct amount of contact pressure. Balances out mechanical variations and stands up to wear and tear
Quick break mechanism: Disconnect by pushing the button, which breaks the circuit and detaches the plug.
Enclosed arc chamber: Keeps any chance of an arc flash contained inside. Contacts are kept inside the enclosure.
Spring assisted terminals: Spring ring provides pressure on the screw terminal and conductor to create a more secure connection
