The 5001 electric wire stripper is not a rotary wire stripper, it utilizes a unique cutting head which features 4 cutting blades and makes stripping even the thinnest jacketed wire such as teflon a breeze! It is designed to strip the ends of wires (up to .4 of an inch) for connector or crimp terminal termination. With it's compact bench top size, the 5001 wire stripper is easy to move to various work stations and even easier to use. One of the first wire strippers of it's kind the 5001 does not require any blade changes to process different wire sizes. A simple knob adjustment is all that is required to change wire sizes. And unlike some of the computer controlled units on the market today, the 5001 wire stripper features a rugged design with very few moving parts making it less likely to break down or require costly repairs. The machine is triggered by a very sensitive wire sensor which ensures that even small flexible wires are stripped at the proper length.

The 5001 electric bench top wire stripper is a German made precision machine that was designed not only to be easy to operate, but also to easy to maintain. The 5001 has been available for sale for over 35 years by Major Electronix which provides support and parts for all U.S. sold machines. Companies such as Cessna, Delphi and Boeing have all utilized this machine for it's precision stripping capabilities as well as longevity. There are still machines 20 + years old stripping wire on a daily basis, proving just how durable this bench top wire stripping is.
The 5001 wire stripper only requires the application of a light machine oil (we recommend Boeshield T-9 lubricant) during a monthly inspection, more often if used in a 3 shift rotation. Inside the machine there are a set of nylon cams that are the main wear parts keeping the rest of the moving parts from needing to be replaced. These cams can be replaced by your internal maintenance or repair facility.
