The Macromatic TD-80228-44 is an On Delay Time Delay Relay. This programmable plug-in relay has an input voltage of 24V AC/DC at 50/60Hz and 10A DPDT output contacts. The timing ranges are digitally selected by 10 position binary DIP switch, from 10 to 10230 minutes. The TD8022844 uses an 8 pin 70169-D octal socket. It features an LED indicator to show the current status of the relay. It shows green when the power is on, and red once the relay is energized.

The On Delay function means that the time delay starts along with the input voltage, and the output becomes energized once the time delay stops. In order for the time delay to be reset, or to de-energize the output, the input voltage needs to be taken out. Each DIP switch is labeled with a time increment. Move the necessary switches to the ON position and add up their labeled values to set the time delay. For example, to set the time delay for 6000 minutes (100 hours), the switches for 80, 160, 640, & 5120 would be moved to the ON position.
