Description

The Macromatic TCF7A is an over temperature & seal leak relay. This 11 Pin plug-in relay has an input voltage of 24V. This door mounted relay is made to monitor for leaks in submersible pump seals, as well as over temperature issues. It has an output of 7A and works with pumps with 3-wire sensing. The flange housing style allows the relay to be mounted and used without needing to open the door. LEDs indicate the status. Includes 11 pin SR6P-M11G back mounted socket. The relay is connected to an N.C. thermal switch in the pump motor to check for over temperature problems. Leak sensors are connected to check for seal leaks. There is one output contact for overheating and one for seal leaks, which are isolated. The over temperature resistance setting is at 5K ohms, while the seal leak sensitivity is adjustable between 4.7K-100K ohms. When the input voltage is introduced, and there are no errors, the over temperature relay is energized while the seal leak is not. The LEDs are green. If overheating occurs, the over temperature relay de-energizes and the TEMP LED is red. Once the overheating has been corrected, the relay resets automatically or manually. A selector switch allows the user to choose between manual or automatic reset. Manual reset takes place by pushing the button on top. In the event of a seal leak, when the resistance goes below the set point, the seal leak relay energizes & the LEAK LED is red. It resets automatically once the error is fixed. Automatic reset for either fault is indicated by a flashing red LED.
