The Macromatic SFP240B100 is a pump seal failure relay. This 11 Pin plug-in relay has an input voltage of 240V. It is a single channel relay made for sensing leaks in submersible pump seals and has an output of 7A DPDT. The sensitivity is adjustable from 4.7K to 100K Ohms using the low profile adjustment knob. Single channel means the relay detects leaks for one pump only. The SFP240B100 has an LED indicator that glows red when the unit senses a leak. If there is no leak, it stays green. It uses an 11 pin 70170-D octal socket.

Resistance is measured by a probe inserted in the pump seal cavity. If a leak occurs, resistance between the probe and the connection is lowered, caused by contaminating fluid going into the seal cavity. The relay energizes when the resistance goes lower than the preset sensitivity point.
