The Macromatic PMDU is a multi-detection phase monitor relay. This DIN-Rail mount relay has an adjustable universal nominal voltage of 190-500V. It monitors against 5 different types of phase errors and has an output of 10A DPDT. The LED indicates the status and identifies a particular phase error. The voltage knob has two ranges. The low voltage ranges from 190-250V, while the high voltage ranges from 380-500V. When voltage is introduced, the unit automatically chooses the correct range. The PMDU features a housing which is mountable on a 35mm DIN rail.
Monitors For:
- Phase Loss
- Phase Reversal
- Phase Unbalance
- Undervoltage
- Overvoltage

The wide voltage range on the PMDU makes it useful for a greater number of applications. As part of the PMD series, the PMDU has "True RMS voltage measurement". This features analog to digital sensing circuitry that gives more precise monitoring of phases and voltages. Another particular feature to the PMDU is that it can still monitor all the voltages while indicating the fault, even if a phase is lost. When the voltage and phase sequence is right, the relay becomes energized after the Restart Delay is finished. When an error is detected, the relay is de-energized after a delay, and will re-energize once the error is fixed.
