The Macromatic PJPU-FA8X is a three phase monitor relay. This 8 Pin plug-in relay has a line-line voltage of 190-500V. It checks for 4 different types of phase errors and has an output of 5A SPDT/SPNO. The LED indicator changes color and sequence depending on the type of error found, shown by the diagram on top of the unit. The PJPU-FA8X uses an 8 Pin 70169-D octal socket. A socket that is rated for 600V should always be used if the system voltage is above 300V.

This relay uses microprocessor based design along with true RMS measurement to monitor for phase loss, phase reversal, and undervoltage. True RMS measurement offers more precise monitoring. The universal voltage range makes it useful in a number of applications. This unit can also still function even if a phase is lost, while indicating a fault and monitoring voltage. When the voltage and phase sequence is normal, the relay energizes after a restart delay. If a fault is detected, the relay is de-energized after a trip delay. It restarts automatically once the problem is fixed. It does not trip on phase unbalance, but will provide LED indication. The undervoltage setting, trip delay and restart delay are all fixed. The adjustment knob has two ranges for a 190-250V range & a 350-500V range. The PJPU-FA8X will detect the voltage when introduced and choose the correct range. The extra SPNO contact offers an isolated output for alarm circuits.
