The Macromatic PAP240 is a three phase monitor relay. This 8 pin plug in relay has a nominal voltage of 240V. It monitors against phase reversal, phase loss and undervoltage with an output of 10A SPDT. The diagram on top of the relay depicts how the LED will indicate the current status. When everything is functioning correctly, the LED is green. When an error is detected, the LED glows or blinks red. The PAP240 uses an 8 pin 70169-D octal socket. Note: Image is an approximation. Specifications
Like the rest of the PAP series, the PAP240 utilizes "True RMS voltage measurement". The analog to digital sensing circuitry in True RMS voltage measurement is able to give more precise monitoring of phases and voltages. One of the benefits of the PAP240 is its ability to still monitor all the voltages while indicating the fault, even if a phase is lost. The unit stays energized as long as the phases are detected in the right order and do not go below the undervoltage setting. Undervoltage is adjustable to a point between 75-95% of the nominal voltage. When a phase error is detected, the relay will de-energize. Until the error is fixed, the unit will remain in that state.
