Description

The Macromatic CUH05A2BJ is a current sensing relay. This encapsulated relay has an input voltage of 120V AC. It checks for under current conditions and has an output of 10A SPDT. It monitors AC current, with an adjustable range of 0.5-5A and a trip time delay of 0.5-50 seconds. There is a 6 second sensing time delay on startup. The built-in current transformer provides easy access and greater sensitivity. The encapsulated casing is ideal for use under harsh conditions. Note: Image is an approximation. Actual part may differ.

Once the input voltage is introduced and the startup time delay has passed, the relay starts monitoring for faults. For an undercurrent situation, the current needs to go below the set Fault Trip Current for a longer period than the adjusted time delay. The relay energizes after the time delay and will de-energize once the current goes back above the reset level. The CUH05A2BJ has an LED which glows red to indicate if an undercurrent is found. Has pilot duty rating. Common applications include process control, monitoring for locked rotor or load loss, and open heater or lamp.
