The Macromatic ARP012A2R is an alternating relay. This 11 Pin plug-in relay has a control voltage of 12V AC/DC. It is a DPDT duplexor relay used in situations where the run time of two loads needs to be equalized. It has an output of 10A DPDT. The ARP012A2R features 2 LEDs that indicate which load energizes next. It uses an 11 pin 70170-D octal socket.

A control switch starts the alternating action. The output contacts on the relay change state when the initiating switch opens, so the loads alternate. The unit also has a low profile selector switch to lock into one load, so only one load remains energized. This is beneficial if one load has been used more than the other, so the on-time can be balanced.
