The Intermatic AG2401C3 is a 120/240V AC, single phase, 3 wire surge arrestor device with an 18" lead. It can be used with Light Efficient Design LED lights, particularly for lightning or other surge prone applications. The Light Efficient Design LED lights do have internal surge protection, however using an external device such as the AG2401C3 can take care of the problem before the power surge reaches the LED circuit board. This device should be sized to the LED light's voltage.

It has a Type 4 rainproof enclosure, perfect for outdoor use. It works for Type 1 applications, which are installed outdoors before service entrances or utility meter cabinets. It's also useful for Type 2 applications, which are installations after service entrances. Other uses besides light fixtures include irrigation and farm equipment, traffic signals, pumps, motors, and HVACR controls. CSA listed to ANSI/UL1449 3rd edition.
