HSTB3/8 shrink tubing is used mostly to act as insulation and keep wires protected. Examples of other uses include keeping dirt and debris away from splices and inline components. When cable ties are not needed or are unnecessary, this tubing can also be used as a light duty harness for wire or cable. It is useful when wires need to be color coded and quickly identified.
When heat is applied to the tubing, it shrinks down to about half of its original diameter. This will encase the wire or connection with an effective safeguard against foreign particles. After heating, it has a nominal recovered wall thickness of 0.024". Coming in quantities of 200ft, you'll be able to cut it to almost any length you need.
