The Macromatic ARP120A3R is an alternating relay. This 8 Pin plug-in relay has a control voltage of 120V with an output of 10A DPDT cross wired. This duplexor relay is used in situations where load usage alternates between 2 loads and when added load capacity is needed. A control switch starts the alternating action. The output contacts on the relay change state when the initiating switch opens, so the loads alternate. It uses an 8 pin 70169-D octal socket.

The ARP120A3R features 2 LEDs that indicate which load energizes first. The unit also has a low profile selector switch to lock into one load, so the same load runs first. This can help to even out load usage if one ends up being favored more than the other.
