The Lumberg Automation 934692001 0980 ESL 801 Lion-R is an active 8 port 5 pin M12 distribution block, with 16 digital inputs. Has LED indicators to show the current status and two 7/8" power supply ports. It is a Profinet device, made to operate under more extreme conditions and create secure communication of data. This M12 distribution block supports both line and ring topologies, using Profinet to send signals from sensors and actuators to the controller. Galvanic isolation creates protection from interference. Each channel can be configured so they behave a certain way if a fault is found. It has reliable and flexible performance, making it perfect for plant and mechanical engineering. Like the other M12 distribution blocks, it withstands exposure from filings, welding sparks, lubricants, and coolants. It can also be found in the automotive industry, as AIDA manufacturers use Profinet as a standard. T distributors can also be used, doubling the amount of available M12 ports.
