The Lumberg Automation 934691003 0980 ESL 813 Lion-R is an active 8 port 5 pin M12 distribution block, with 8 digital inputs & 8 digital outputs. Has rotary switches for setting IP addresses, with two 7/8" power supply ports. It is made to run even under harsh conditions and provides secure communication of data. It can be used to connect sensors and actuators to Ethernet/IP networks. Rated IP 67.

This M12 distribution block is designed to be used as an interface between the field and control level, by sending field-level signals to the controller. By providing a place for multiple M12 connections, it saves additional time and cost, while making it easy to expand. It works for both line and ring topologies. If a connection is lost, the Device Level Ring protocol allows the distribution block to switch to another ring segment, for further reliability. It's ideal for plant and mechanical engineering, as it withstands exposure from coolants, lubricants, filings, and welding sparks.
