The Macromatic SFP120C100 is a pump seal failure relay. This 8 Pin plug-in relay has an input voltage of 120V. This dual channel relay is made to monitor for leaks in submersible pump seals and has an output of (2) 5A SPNO. The sensitivity is adjustable and can be preset to meet the resistance level needed. The dual channel feature means that the relay can detect leaks in two separate pumps. The SFP120C100 features LEDs that are red when the unit senses a leak. They stay green if there is no leak. It uses an 8 pin 70169-D octal socket.

The resistance is measured by a probe that is inserted in the pump seal cavity. In the event of a leak, resistance between the probe and the connection is lowered by contaminating fluid that goes into the seal cavity. The relay energizes when the resistance goes below the preset sensitivity point.
